Sofia, Bulgaria The Bulgarian economy is robust and the forcast is for continued growth and prosperity heading into the new millenium. Part of that optimistic forcast has to do with a new upstart Bulgarian automobile company that believes it has the answer to the world's need for cheap, economical, durable transportation for the new century.
Zbreznev Motors Incorporated of Sofia announced it will produce heavy duty all purpose motor vehicles that will make the current ATV's obsolete in short notice. The companies flagship model, the Bulgarian Zbreznev Battleship 99, was debuted before a standing room only crowd of thousands in it's Sofia manufacturing warehouse/plant in the southside slums of the capital city.
The Bulgarian Zbreznev Battleship 99 will sell for $4,000 US complete with a 500,000 horse powered diesel engine, 16 wheels, AC and seating for a family of four. The Battleship weighs in at 24,000 pounds and has a cruising speed of 45 mph maximum on the open highway. This vehicle can go anywhere and that's one of the reasons we believe it will make all other automobiles and trucks obsolete.
"How can you get this kind of power for under $5,000 US? Our workers are some of the lowest paid in the entire world. Thus, our costs are very low and we pass the savings on to our customers, the consumers", announced Nikoli Zbreznev, president of the upstart motor company. "These babies are built like Sherman Tanks. In fact, they are a modified tank. We have taken the Zbreznev Battleship 99 to the top of the Rhodope Mountains, out into the Black Sea, to the bottom of the Danube and all points in between and it functioned impecably."
Bulgarian Zbreznev Battleship 99 does have one slight drawback however. It requires diesel fuel, and a lot of it. A typical ten mile excursion takes over 100 gallons of diesel and that can be prohibitive. "We are working closely with the petroleum producers to see if we can't get the price of diesel lowered", stated Zbreznev. "We think this vehicle is the wave of the future. You'll be seeing the Bulgarian Zbreznev Battleship 99 everywhere from the North Pole to Antartica.. it's that diverse!"
